  • msrx or nano

hi guys, someone i just met has offered me either of these helis but i dont know which is easiest to fly.

i had the nano before and i flew that a few times but it was still a handful but never tried the msrx and just wondered if any one could tell me which is the easiest to fly please?

i am still new to helis

    many thanks

Msrx would be easier as it's a fixed pitch helicopter, the Blade Nano is a collective pitch which is a little more difficult to fly

I would have thought both would be twitchy outside in anything other than a flat clam day making them tough learner models?

the beauty is you dont need to fly outside. the quad takes more wind than the heli. I would not recommend a beginner to fly them in anythinh about 7-10mph wind

I've got both, the msrx was my first heli followed by the nano. Outdoors only in still conditions (at first), indoors only when you've moved your wife's orchids to a safe place, usually where the cat is hiding. To get the best from the msrx you really need a programmable transmitter, the DX6i is ideal and is readily available second hand. You 'must' have a DX6i or equivalent for the nano. They both take the same battery and are pretty crash resistant but easy to repair when necessary. Be warned however, what seems like a free/cheap offer will soon get very expensive, whatever you choose today will soon get upgraded/up sized tomorrow.

And to answer the question you asked, the msrx is the easiest to fly.

IMO , with out a dout the msrx is the one you need , I started on a msrx then got a nano , even tamed down the nano is a wee wasp & I never liked it , a nano for learning could easily put you off for life , I think the advice Euclid has givin you above is spot on , regards kenny d
