  • Totally give up :o(

I can't understand it, the F***ing thing, it had one bump now shes uncontrollable again.

I changed over the screws in the bottom collar as after a major crash (due to being uncontrolable) the top blade didn't turn so i changed the screws as the heads on the old ones were a bit worn.

So the collar is now nice and secure

What happens is shes OK taking off but as soon as any cyclic imput is added from that moment shes giant toilet bowling and its a fight to keep her steading from that moment on.

Theres no middles ground with any trim or pot adjust, shes either turning left or right, leaning to the left or right and again any trim just makes things worse in what ever direction you've trimmed too.

I've just lost my temper big time and launched her to the other side of the room, all I'm doing is spend spend spend and getting back nothing more then complete hassle, the new lights are making it a pig to adjust anything, batt performance seems to be down too.

I've ordered new shafts and lower rotas before I lost it, F**king piece of crap I've never known something to be such a ***t to work properly.

That's it I'm calling it a day for today cos if I try and sort it out any more I don't think I'd stop myself from smashing it this time.

    AARRR

Last time I tried to take off she kept coming forward even when that trim is coompletely in the down position????

Cheers bud', Ive calmed down a bit now lol, I've been trying to solve this for about two hours, and there's only so much a man can take in one sitting.

Pip's changing some servos on the 450 for me and were meeting at the weekend, so I'm looking forward to that, but the BCX2 is so simple there's not much to it, when they arrive tomorrow I'm changing the shafts and flybar, there can't possibly be more I can do after that to get her going.

      Frustrating doesn't even come close......Dam

On the medi vac i used to have after a few crashes the swash used to start to come apart
just squeeze it back together between your finger see if its that,
It used to make the medi vac very unstable even tho it had only come apart slightly

It can be very frustrating when things go bad
I have a fairly long fuse but it is still a fuse and I have been known to air test things so I know how you feel
The best thing to do is put it down, walk away, and look again later.
I am sure you will sort it, just dont let it get to you too much
              and all will be better.

Thanks Jim, I haven't a clue what's going on, right now the biggest problem is she flys forward even with the trim pulled fully back.

Ironic isn't it I stripped her down yesterday to install new motors to fix it not flying forward correctly.

Hopefully my new shafts will arrive tomorrow, so I'll be stripping her down (again) and checking everything over.

Just one question to all, when you turn pull the power lead out after a fight do the servo (Plastic) arms with the holes in supposed to sit at 90 degrees as my forward cyclic arm sits at the 8 O'Clock position when stopped.

When I adjusted the servo arms yesterday I had to play a little with them until I got the level right, and there were tightened enough

Its just after the crash today (the big one) shes being a pig to control.

Which leads me to think some damage has happened to the shafts, but I'm not 100% sure.

Thanks mate, to look at the Swash it seems straight enough, but why she goes forward at a fast rate of knot's is puzzling

Cambs Flyer, have you set her up on the DX6 yet? And is it a 6 or a 6i?
First thing's first, when you've cooled right down, (I've been there and know how it feels) strip her down, it'll make you feel better to take a look what's wrong. There's only so much can be screwed on the CX2. Check the servo's, make sure the arms are okay and level. Check the swash, make sure that's level, and of course the shafts. run them on something very flat and see they run level and aren't bent. Check the flybar carefully, make sure it's straight. Somehow it sounds as though something's right out of whack, have you tracked your top blades? Simplest things first. Work to a method (I know I'm preaching a bit sorry), it really does help. It can be very frustrating because as fast as you get one bit straight, another goes out of whack, at least that's how it seems. Mine was flying like a pig tonight, I couldn't level her out. You seem to get days like that, I'm sure different batteries are balanced differently. I wish I could take a look for you, objectively, but if trim is full back and she's going forward then I would definitely check the balance. Hold her up by the flybar, with it at right angles to the heli. See if she's at all front low. If so she's out of balance, so then check that something hasn't moved. Let me know how you get on, we'll get you through this.

wayne didnt you say last night that you moved the servo rods out one hole? you may find you will need to shorten them by a few turns.
best start by putting them back to original and doing a basic set up.if you need a guide just holla!!

On my little indoor contra thingy (basically a walkera 5G6) - the top flybar affects the toilet-bowling effect, and general flight characteristics.

If you flip it over and clip it on the other side, it might sort it?
Get it on the wrong side and it's a pile of whippy dog doo...

I have taken a couple of pictures, hope this helps, suggest you take off the canopy and check the servo positions when the power is turned on. I tried to fly mine like this but it is very twitchy, I guess if I trimmed the gain and proportional it would be ok. I did get it to fly a couple of times but it is easily upset. One final thing, I found the flybar on mine was a little tight and it would not fly properly at all. it must be completely free to move with no stiffness.
                              Good luck
