  • Electric or not and payload

I need to get a rc helicopter that can carry an approximate payload of 600g I don't want to spend a huge sum but want something that is both good and can go a reasonable distance can anyone recommend anything

I'd say you'd first have to state the intent you're using it for. for video equipment or just sheer transportation capability traditional (fixed pitch) multicopters are a much better choice - less mechanics, simpler electronics (no servos, becs, etc), simpler maintenance, relatively cheaper, the list continues.

As a first post this doesn't really fill me with confidence. ...

Needs to carry 600g a reasonable distance ?.....

Sounds like whatever you are planning is way off piste. ...

You might want to have a look at the bmfa regs and the air navigation order first

Why not explain what you are trying to do and then you are likely to get answers that are more productive, as a first post it just raises more questions, but with more detail you will get more help ...
