Funny thing happened to me tonight

I was on the phoenix sim tonight not going too well but then nose in i hoved it for 10 mins on the spot without thinking about it Well happy with my self as thats the only time ive done this, then moved tail in and then i was all over the place

Well lets hope i can do it again soon, then i can try going forward in a straight line stop and then back with out drifting sideway.

Been flying for two weeks now will i ever get it ??????

you will get it don't worry it takes ages to master a hover on spot nose in or tail but it gets easier then like you said you do it without thinking. You will find your stuck for ages like you hit a wall then you make progress then hit a wall again and so on. But in time the progress gets quicker but we still get stuck for ages not making much progress. Just be patient it will click soon enough

orientations are hard. if you're like me, you'll be learning that for years. of course, I can hover all directions, upright/inverted no problem, but once you need to stabilize it in motion - e.g. exiting/transitioning through moves, correcting position during maneuvers (hello, inverted circles) - it's orientations all over again. prepare for long battle, as nose in is actually a very easy one ("all controls inverted, no problem") - inverted sideways will probably be the most problematic of them all.
