    Like to say hi

Ive just started flying this week with a chronos fb110 and I have the phoenix sim too.
But having trouble with the heli side on and facing you etc, seam fine tail in but just cant get my head around it.
I bet this has been asked 1000 times but is there tricks to help or just keep trying?
    Thanks

Welcome to the forum. There is no easy way to learn orientations other than practice, practice and more practice!
the sim is a great investment and really can help without expensive crashes.
if it was easy then this would not be such an addictive hobby.

    good luck.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Its all down to practise practise and more practise like Sheldrake said.

With the orientation I found the best thing was to use a "clock" to slowly move round to side on and then nose in. Start at 12 o'clock (tail in) then move round to 3 o'clock by starting at 1 o'clock then 2 o'clock then finally 3 for right side hover. Take as long as you need on each point before moving round to the next number. For left side hover do the same but go 11, 10 then 9. And for nose in go 4, 5, then 6 and 8, 7 then 6. Hope this make sense...

                    Welcome

Try turning your body slightly in the direction you are pointing the heli so with the Tx in front of you you are kind of tail in again. Not much, just a few degrees will help.
                    Happy Landings.

                      Hi Tony

Just came across your question, sorry if I'm late to the party. Like you are finding nose-in (with a quad) was a nightmare until I came across the following tip. Imagine you are balancing the end of an upturned broom on the palm of your hand (and let's face it, who hasn't done that). If the broom head falls off to the right your hand immediately goes to the right to maintain balance. If the broom head falls away from you you push your hand away etc etc. Substitue the broom head for your helicopter and your hand for the cyclic and after a couple of batteries with that in mind all should became natural. Good luck and let us know how you are getting on.

                          Just an update,
Been reading tip for new flyers and i see that most people use the pinch on the sticks. i use just my thumbs well i did... so i thought ill try it.
It was hard at first but now i would say i have more control and dont over react so much and also leaves my finger free to use the hold switch for when it all gose wrong. As i just use to drop down throttle( bad habit ive been told)
Any more tip or pages to look at would be greatfull.
