Twister 400 sport alternate radio gear

Hi there new to the forum. Im looking for some help last year i bought a JP twister 400s sport. Since then i have had many great hours learning how to fly these, and with good success too. then recently i went to fly but all i got was a tiny puff of smoke from under the canopy. i cant now seem to get it to spool up. However the tail rotor works still , as do the servos. I ran power to the main motor ( after disconecting from main board) and that works fine.
SO this leads me to believe my all in 1 receiver. gyro etc is blown.

My question is what other radio gear will fit in this and what will i need ? will anything from a 400 class heli fit ? or am i going to struggle due to it being a cheaper rtf kit.

Alternatively a new board ( rec+ gyro) is £24.99

To fit seperate recevers, speed controllers and a gyro to this would cost way way more than replacng the all-in-one board and trying to use a similar board from another brand could easily lead to incompatibilities. Most of us would consider £25 a cheap repair day even though it's more than a third of the new cost here.
Fixed pitch helis are built on the cheap but can be useful first helis to encourage folk to try the hobby and learn basic orientation skills and have some indoor playtime but do have limitations on their flight performance.

It all depends on what you want to do - just mess about indoors now and again (which is fine) or move on to helis capable of much more and outdoor flight. It also comes down to budget, availability of flying sites and how much time you want to invest in the hobby.
