  • Mcpx bl repair service?

Had a rather spectacular accident pushing my skills last night at the club indoor session, mcpx ended up in three parts, on the face of it at least the boom gone, all the links come apart, circuit board looks like it may have taken a bang, and possibly more. Need to have a more detailed look this week and work out what the exact damage is. I fully recognise accident and repair is part of the sport, so no problem with this. More than happy to repair my larger heli's but not sure I have got the patience or fingers to do these smaller ones. Does anyone know whether you can send back to horizon hobby and pay for an accident repair, or if not is there anyone else that repairs them? Will then Decide whether it is me or the post man?

Building a heli from spares is often expensive. Especially if the main board is damaged. If you do decide to repair it you may find that taking some photographs before you take it apart will help with putting it together again.

Just send it to HH explaining the situation. I've done that before expecting a repair bill and they fixed it FOC.

                Thanks tom

that sounds like create customer service. I can't find any details of repair service on their uk web site. Do you know if you have to email them first to get a returns numbers of some sort, if not do you just send it to their registered address on the website?

                          Great thanks all,

horizon hobby not helpful, just said they were there for warranty repairs only, so obviously change of approach, told me part of the fun of the hobby was doing your own repairs. Anyway will have a look at it this weekend and the decide on best course of action.

                          thanks all for the options

Tx all, it really is great to have so many offers of help. Task 1 for this weekend is building a new quad, if I get round to it I will then check over the mcpx and work out how bad the damage is, if it doesn't look too bad will have a go myself, otherwise will be back to you guys. Grew up in Stourbridge Rob so know it well. Phoned Penn and Lee has moved on apparently.
