Sim transmitter?

Hi, looking to get a simulator and wondering what is the best option with regards to buying one, option a - complete with a transmitter or option b - use normal transmitter used for flying.

Obviously cheaper for just the sim on its own, but what are the pros and cons of using the sim included transmitter?

Any help/input greatfully received.

Realflight for about £160 comes with it's own transmitter which can only be used with RealFlight. Some people swear by it.

Phoenix for £70, you can use multiple transmitters (such as dx6i for about £80) and you can use them with your (spektrum rx) models too.

A personal choice really as both will get you some good practice in and save hundreds in crash costs.

Real flight 6.5 with heli pack for £135 from Midland Helicopters. Includes Real flight transmitter. I have Phoenix v4 and Real Flight 6.5 and I love Real Flight.
