Seen a few crazy ones from the States but would like to see what us Brits can do!

Example from states just a bit ott -http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JUVct33G_U

wow they yanks don't do things by half do they!! This guy has really got to much time on his hands lol, just how big is his car to transport it? although it is very well made. I was thinking about a portable heli pad to take to the field as sometimes the grass can be a little long depending on where i fly and came up with the perfect answer for me anyway!!! At work we have just had e new work shop and on top of the tool units is 4mm thick black rubber, well as they have renewed it, i managed to grab a piece approximately 30" square. It rolls up great and as it is quite heavy, rolls out flat and keeps the grass at bay!! perfect lol, may even paint a "H" on it. Its not got any lights or remote controls, but for nothing is ideal!!! happy flying guys

If he needs that many lights to be able to see his helipad, I'm betting his glasses are off milk bottles.

A good RC helicopter pad should have wireless charging in my opinion!

I think its an good idea to make the helipad foldable so that is easy for you to carry it around and gets smaller when you fold it..
might have some sort of handle so it looks like a briefcase when you carry it ..
like a big heli pad when spread and small square when folded imagine like a table napkin....
and also make sure its looks nice flat and smooth when spread over....so make sure you get the right material and then you can carry on with the beautification

                  regards

yes that is the problem with our field all turned over...we could arrange to use the next field also though which is fine and nice and flat...not as close too the kettle though...I like the our heli pad as we dont have too walk on a muddy field the models stay nice and clean as well.....

At least you have a decent field John, Just think when its finished it will be smooth as silk again.

Like the steps and the pad though.
