    Hello,

I have bought a blade mcpx and it lots of fun hovering and flying about practicing. i have been practicing with it in phoenix 4. i can fly fine and turn fine but when i try to rotate my heli i seem to loose control and hight fast was wondering if ther is a video to help or if anyone can tell me how practice this so i can get better at it.

such a noobie question but it has been bothering me lol

Hi mate my advice is to stop flying it on pheonix anx to try a trex 450 or something as the mcpx on sim just aint a good comparison.

I have only flown it on a dx4e and its a bit oc an animal but herd its a lot better on a programable tx. And if your losing altitude try a bit less aileron and elivater and mabe a bit more collective. But like I said before its an animal lol it looks anx flies like a fly

As above you need to fly a bigger heli on the sim and learn to fly around doing simple turns, eventually you will get it and then just do the same on the mcpx but keep it high to avoid crashing if you can. Learning to hover tail in, nose in and on both sides is really important and I wish is was something I had paid more attention too when I had just started. It may be worth contacting a local club (indoor is good) where people can give you advice etc. Good luck !

I was having the same problem, I started out with a Walkera M120d01, I ended up buying a Trex 450. The trex is so much better and lot easier to fly than the micro's. I lot of the problems I was having with the micro's have just gone away. Well worth the investment. If you do end up with a bigger heli I would really recommend some lessons, they have saved me a fortune in repairs!!!

My advice to beginners is to fly a decent size heli. I started with a toy ESKY heli and it was so difficult to fly, even hovering was nearly impossible. Learn on the sim with something bigger - the trex 600 electric flies very slow and docile on Phoenix so I'd suggest learning with that. When you are ready to fly for real look for a trex 450 or 500. I spent hours and hours hovering my 450 but only took the plunge to fly circuits with a 500 which was a brill heli to learn with. The common error is to start really small and work up. If you can get hold of a 450 sport that is a real good intro to flying proper heli's. It wouldn't be long before you are then wanting a 500, then 550 etc. - exactly as I did, only stopping when I got to the 700 class which are so much easier to fly but obviously cost a lot to repair if you crash.

In my experience bin the micro stuff, practice with a trex 600e on phoenix and look to buy yourself a 450 or 500 and you will see a marked improvement over the toy heli's.

And..... join a club. You will gain a lot of experience and advice from fellow members who have been through the same learning curve. You'll have a lot of fun with it. Good luck!

just to clarify all above is true but what I was try ing to say is the flight charicturistic (<-cant spell that 1 ) of th mcpx on the sim is not a good to life comparison

if hovering seems impossible get a big heli on sim if u can just about doit get a 450 then when u feel brave get ya mcpx out (but be careful they hurt. even throught thick jeans)
