A little frustrated

My new batt, charger & Li Po battery connectors arrived yesterday, today I had a good look at What I've got, the charger & Balancer charged the Align Batt OK then I took a look at the connectors so to plug her into the 450.

The extra ones supplied look hopelessly different in size to the connectors on the heli.

I was going to buy a soldering iron and have a go myself but TBH I wouldn't know where to start, I'm having a little trouble contacting pip right now, and I'd really like to start some real time practice, but after spending another £70 I'm no further forward.

The bag of bits I purchased was the Align Trex 24K Terminal pack, the batt is the Align 11.1v 2100mah 20c.

the connector on the rex is a deans wayne.
your going to have to change that to a 24k or change the battery to deans

i would recomend changes the battery to deans as this is the most commonly used....

plus it is an easyier job as you wont have to remove the esc....

that heli deffinetly has been around a bit...

yep the battery wayne. becarefull whilst soldering though if you short out the terminals they pack a punch.

hi cambs flyer i had same thing with bat if you have soldering iron you can change them its not hard .as i had deans on the bats but i went out & got 3.5 gold bulit typ so i had to change the deans your not alone as im still learning toolol

Thanks for the info mate, sorry for the dum nut questions, but wheres the best place to buy them from, plus when changing the batt connectors, how do you do it please?

TBH at this point I wish I'd had just got the 400 and been done with it, but the good fight must continue, I'm just a bit concerned to do it now realizing what could happen if it went wrong..........

its not the end of the world wayne, you can always sell it on you could also just make a jump lead with a deans on one end and 24k on the other!

Thank you Mate, but the connectors on the ESC don't look anything like that, there very thin pin like connectors. hang on I'll take a photo and show you what I mean.

Ron these are the connectors on the ESC and the Batt, plus the bag of bits I thought would do the job.

your gunna need to take them off and put a deans on there....

i dunno what game pipistrelli was playing.... thats wierd!!

actually... to keep the length of the esc wires you could make a jump lead from banana plug to deans... that would also look quiet tidy i reckon....
