Hi guys, just bought a blade130x for practising 3d and wondering what weak points if any are on the machine and what spares or upgrades are advisable - without going ott on Alu bling??

Metal "A" gear (umbrella gear) on the main shaft is a must. The plastic one seems to last < 20 flights.
Upgraded O rings from RC-Hero on the blade grips and swash - remove slop and cyclic wobble on some collective moves.
There are metal replacements for the C and D gears in the tail case too, but I found these didn't mesh well and the plastic C gear acts more like a fuse for the torque tube if the tail is caught in grass or something, so personally, I stick to plastic at the back.
Honestly, other than that, I haven't found any upgrades really necessary or particularly advantageous. My personal experience is that if you do buy bling, go for Lynx rather than Xtreme stuff (which I've found to be low quality and more of a downgrade for the most part).Tom

+1 on what Tomatwalden said. I also found that a Lynx tail shaft and tail grips improved it a bit. I have since added various other cnc bling bits but I can't tell whether they have improved the heli.
The greatest improvement on mine would be for me to refrain from crashing. I am getting there slowly.Tron 7.0 advance Vbar evo V Control

You might want to consider the Turnigy lipos (they are lighter and you don't need the adapter)
