  • MCPX Main motor

I have been given a Blade MCPX V2 as it needs some repairing, new main motor and main gear.Is there any reason I can't replace the original motor with a brush less one?
Has anyone done this already? is it best to do both main and tail? Or should I just replace like for like?

    Thanks

Modding the mcpx to brushless was commonplace a while back. You could buy kits. With all the bits needed (ESC converter, motor, pinion, tail etc). They were quite expensive though and nowadays with the official mcpx BL on sale, I haven't seen the kits available anywhere for a while.

It just doesn't make sense anymore as the mcpx BL is a better option.
