  • Nooob near panic, lol

Hi, I have noticed that after switching on the transmitter and doing the necessary, I plug in the battery to my heli and the light flashes then becomes constant, but the servos don't initiate. I'm sure they used to and the heli seems completely out of trim.
    Any thought and advice please..

Or have I got to the stage where I am trying to hard... lol

Have a look at E-Flite helis. The msr-x is good for indoor use. If your heli is new you could return it under guarantee. This came up about a year ago and the general advice was to go for E-Flite.

Are you saying that its not right, or I should just give it back? As I have crashed it several times do you think the shop will take it back?

To re-bind the model and transmitter, all you need to do is apply the power to the helicopter and while the red light in the canopy is flashing, switch on the transmitter with the throttle stick pressed into the transmitter. The transmitter will beep and the LED indicator will flash red, then green for a few seconds. Once bound the LED indicator in the transmitter will become solid red and the LED in the helicopter will also stop flashing and become solid red....Give it a go.

If it wont bind..I would say that your board maybe damaged form a crash. Then i am afraid it might be a new board

You didn't mention it had been crashed. Once crashed any heli needs to be checked over and will probably need repair. I'm saying that it's not worth bothering with. Someone asked about one of these helis before and they were advised not to buy one. I'm sorry about that but no one has anything positive to say about the heli you have bought. Helis are expensive to buy and to keep flying.

Thanks for the info heliboy, for no apparent reason it seems to be initiating today, as for my choice of heli, I bought a Double Horse 9053 first, then was told it would be no good to progress to a better heli later, so while I was in the model shop the question of what heli would you sell to a beginner was asked and hey presto the Century Nano SR appeared, so £95 later, (£55 for the double horse) I still don't have a beginers heli.
Well, I will have to carry on as I am until something happens, either the Nano SR is totalled or I have more spare money...Who said this was a cheap hobby, lol

Sorry if I come across as rude to anyone, I don't mean to, however I did ask advice before I bought both heli's, but not on here.... Horse, stable, bolted ect...

The website I posted on before I bought anything totally ignored my post not even a hello, the free advice given here is priceless and not to mention a very warm welcome....

                      Thank you all..

It's not a cheap hobby. This forum is very unusual in that the advice is good and everybody tends to be encouraging. Lots of us have bought things and then asked advice. That's probably more usual than the right way. Very often the advice you get isn't what you want, but it's usually right. If you look at the cost of a big heli and the cost of repairing it you'll feel happier about the cost of the smaller helis. It does tend to be addictive though. The best investment is a good simulator like Phoenix and a reasonable transmitter like a DX6i. They can be bought secondhand, but if you buy new and then want to give up they can be sold at a good price. Try to get to clubs that fly helis and see what is going on. Indoor flight costs a lot less than outdoor.

A 130-X is very good. Indoor and out. Being unfashionable can keep costs down. When you get to 450s you'll be able to get good gyros and 35Mhz txs as people have gone to 2.4Ghz and flybarless. A 35Mhz tx will be good for running a sim like Phoenix.
