  • esc unit

hi guys , okay after reading so many people change the esc unit on the esky belt cp I thought I would take a stab in the dark and do the same ! while looking I found a esc unit with a motor , the motor having a bit more RPM than the one all ready on the belt cp , so thinking it would make sense to get the motor and the esc to match , I thought I had brought the right one , I soon found out that wasn't the case as the motor is a bit bigger and will not fit the belt cp okay so I got this Hobbywing Pentium 40A ESC & 4000KV Brushless Motor for 450 RC Helicopter | eBay now will the esc unit be to big for the belt cp ? all so I was thinking of building a new helicopter so im just wondering what this motor and esc unit might fit like a v2 maybe ? or do I just bin the motor and esc and start from scratch again ? cheers guys !

    Re: esc unit

The esc is good enough for the belt cp. You could use the existing belt cp motor with the new esc and it will have plenty of headroom. As for the new motor, use it in future 450 build. I learned the steep and hard way of flying on a belt cp.
