  • Beastx 90 degree 4 servo swash plate can it be done

Have any of you scale guys set up a 4 servo swash plate with the Beastx I know that it will do it with 3 servos but this is for a heavy Vario machine that must have all 4 servos driving the swash plate if it is possible how did you set it up also if this is a no no what system would you recommend I know a Skookum 360 will but what else is there

Don't think Mbx will run four servos? i think not. Heli comand???????? are you intending to run a X4 blade rotor head? if so i dont think you realy need a FBL system as the fasing will be 90 degrees so you shoul'nt need a Beast X.

No the machine is a Vario Airwolf with a 2 blade head but with 2 servos on both elevater and aileron the configuration on the Beastx is for 3 servos one on elevater and two on aileron I wondered if with a Y lead on the elevater plug on the beastx and by reversing of the fourth servo from the transmitter or changing swash mixing in ether the beastx or transmitter I could get the result that would work baring in mind that such changes could screw up the pitch travel

Sure you could use a 'Y' lead but i do'nt think you will get the same travel on each pair, can you not use sevos that are powerfull enough? is this airwolf a 90 ? what heli is going in the body?

Using a Y lead & reversing the wirer as you mention will that not effect the pitch, if you connecting elev servo's to reverse on one n other what happens when you pitch.???
Today's outlook is fine for flying.

Just another thought 3GX might do the job because you keep your tx setup but just need to inh pitch trims.

The model is already built and flown but have a desire to go flybarless as suggested I think a 3G is probably the way to go or use the beastx by having all the settings in transmitter I have used 3G on a petrol benzin Swytzer 3 blade head and was a dodle to set up as mentioned in earlier post have used a skookum 360 on similar mechanics it comes with the 4 servo 90 degree in the software but I would like to try the beastx on this machine if it is possible because you don't need a laptop to set it up

I'm currently setting up my very first fbl unit and it's a Futaba CGY750. When going through the menus there were loads and loads of swash plate options, and I'm 99% confident there was more than one 4 servo option. I think there was 4 servos at 90 degrees to the airframe, and 4 servos at 45 degrees to the airframe.

Have a look at Futaba's website and download the instructions - the info will all be in there.

I dont think the beastx will allow you to do because all the ccpm is setup through the beastx & not TX, the beastx manual shows options: ccpm off, or 3 servo option of a 90, 120, & 140, does not show 4 servo.
Heading of the manual show its a 3 axes microbeastx gyro or you could download the manual to check for yourself as you may be able to work something out.

I have a vague memory something like this was mentioned before and using a 7th channel for the 4th servo seemed to be the answer
Making it copy the opposing servo's commands for pitch and reversing them for cyclic
There was a mention of doing it in the tx settings
Search the threads as that is all i recall, actually it may have been on rcgroups and not here
                        Good luck
