Horizon uk?

My AR7200BX is failing range test badly. Only getting 8ft away before total loss of control in range limit mode. Tried 2 tx's now and it's same for both.

Do I contact Horizon Hobby UK for this?

You certainly do, I've had good service from them. What model is it on? I'm running one on the Fusion and had no problems with the standard 30m or so

Just a trex 450. But in any orientation in tx reduced power I can't get further than 8ft
Even tried adding a sat but made no difference

Defo one for Horizon. Have you flown it like this in normal power and is it okay?

Horizon UK provide the best aftermarket service I have ever come across.
Phone them and speak to someone in technical who will advise that you send it in so they can check it. I bet you have it back (or possibly replaced) within 48 hours. Everytime I have had the need to use them they have been brilliant.

HH will sort it out for sure, first fault on one of these I've heard of tho.

We did a range test in full power and with heli elevated and we lost signal at about 80-100m

Much less than I would expect. I'm a beginner do just hovering and doing basic manoeuvres close by so it's ok for me and flies bang on

Just no range. Few of the guys looked at it and agree its odd but can't disagree with results

Sent my dx8 in last Monday, with range issues, sent back to my door 9.30 weds morning all fixed and working a treat now. Top notch service guaranteed.

They will probably send you a new unit, they did for me and mine was crash damaged! all FOC and within 48 hrs!!

Called them up, they just said to send it in...
Gonna ship it back special delivery so its there for tomorrow AM ... REALLY hope they sort by thursday otherwise i'm not flying over easter which would be crap on a long weekend

Just one thing. Did you say it was on 2 units?

What about your radio you are using, does that check out with other receivers?

I originally had the unit bound to my DX6i (2 months old) and had the issue and this past weekend i've been using a DX8 and had same results

Had 4 of the club guys looking over everything and we couldn't reach any conclusion other than possibly dodgy receiver.

Had some other weird behavior from it previously (like not picking up the Tx properly) but i just chalked that up to user error since restarting the unit cured those issues when they happened... also took 3 attempts to bind it to my DX8 this weekend

And yes the Tx worked fine on my MCPX and previously on my AR6115E when i had blade 450

Anyway ... its winging its way to Horizon via Special Delivery so it'll be there in the morning

No absolutely ... i fully admit my noobish mistakes from time to time - this time however i think its the kit
Will report back what Horizon say ... just praying to the postal gods to get me the thing back for thursday .... don't wanna miss out on this long weekend
