  • beastx v3 issue help

fitted beastx v3 to my 700le yesterday and maidened it today, all went well in hover just an increase the gains for tail, checked the elev/aile gain in hover all seemed to be ok so i decided it was time for gentle forward flight all seemed fine so started to put some hard pitch movements in plus then negitive, this is when i found a problem going up was fine but then when i appleyed negitive the beast put violent unwanted left aileron movement and the heli was nearly knife edge. managed to regain control then landed with a near heart failure. i did take to the air again and tried less aggressive negitive pitch movement but still did the same.

my personal opinion is the cyclic gain dial needs to be turned up but if you have an opinion it would be much appreciated thanks jago

I wouldn't you'll just make it worse. Double check your setup, make sure you haven't got a dodgy servo or nothing is tight, have you got blue light at 6 degrees etc. Be really anal about the setup

Are you using the pad which came with the Beast X? My 700 had a couple of scary moments, wnet through everything only to have it go out of control again. After reading around a few posts, I went with two layers of the Maplins tape with no strap. Never missed a beat since.
            Cheers,

Or try using the rip max tape. Also is your engine tuned or is it running rich at all.

I had a long conversation with Ade from Climb Out when I had an issue, I used the supplied pad with the middle removed and mine is just great.
The engine tune does have to be good as well.
