spektrum beastx and dsm2 sats

ive read somewhere that dsm2 causes huge problems with the the beastx, and to use dsmx only!

is this correct? or are people using dsm2 sats and fine?

where should I mount the single sat? with the spektrum beast on top shouldnt the other sat go under the air frame?

advise please

It's in the instructions NOT to use dsm2 so I would take that as gospel

Really that's odd,maybe it means it works with dsm2 Txs which it does.

Now, my query is, I've got a Spektrum/beastx unit on its way and I'am still using a dx7,

Will this work with the dsm2 sats or will I have to upgrade to a DX8-DSMX sats??????

Dx7 is good with it.It's a dsmx receiver so you must use a dsmx sat but works with dsm2 transmitter.

how should i mount the long antenna wire?

I assume the long antenna wire is coax with the ariel on the end. Keep it clear of anything metal or carbon. As conductors shield the signal.

This is real easy Phil, it's in the manual. Read it and use it as read otherwise it's going to crash, simples!

Use a DSMX receiver which is backwards compatible with DSM2 which covers DX6i and DX7

Hey phil i noticed your going kontronik now, good move you wont regret. Complete ease of set up and they just work very very well. Awesome BEC too so no need for regulators
