  • BeastX setup - weird behaviour - step 'J'

    Hi all,

I'm having difficulties with setting up BeastX. I was on it with BeastX support and I have no solution for that.
    Some facts:
    -Trex 450 Pro
    - Futaba T6J transmitter
    - Futaba R2006GS receiver
    - servos - Align DS410 and DS510
    - FBL RJX

When doing the BeastX setup all parts work except 'J' - when moving aileron stick nothing happens.
Step 'J' only works if I swap aileron with elevator wire but then all the remaining steps stop working. Just that one does.
    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks in advance,

    Rafal

Check Dual rates in the TX - I bet you've got Aileron set at zero

Or the channel is duff/plugged in wrong place.

what are you using the 510 for - Not the tail I hope.

      Unfortunately yes , for tail - 510.
I disconnected everything atm. Can you guide me what goes where in terms of wires, please?
      I'm lost at this stage.

Use the Standard RX as per the manual.

There's a video here that might help but just be aware the firmware has been updated a little since this was produced

Have a look at this thread for wiring diagrams.

            http://www.rcheliaddict.co.uk/beastx/58855-help-beastx-setup.html

Some good setup tips but v2, very similar for v3 just different pages of manual.
Looking from back of heli, aileron servo is on right, pitch servo is on left.

I use a 4.8v NiCd receiver battery into throttle channel for setup. Lasts for ages.

Ok. Cables re-wired. Just started the config and at point 'G' all servos are at 90deg and the swashplate is aligned.
However when I leave the setup all servos change their position to I'd say 75deg.
                  What's going on?
This is my third setup in a row and I' getting annoyed. I'm still noob, I know. But it looks like all wires are connected correctly now, at least.

                        hi Gary,

All connected and configured again. This time I was able to set all menu options.
                        But still something wrong.
What way should swashplate move? Upwards when increasing throttle? Mine goes downwards and heli shakes extremely and can't take off.
I put it on training gear to avoid a crash.

                        Thanks,

Being at 'I' option the only way the three servos move is on red - nor|rev|nor.
Should I reverse all three servos in transmitter then?

ok...I reversed them to their current settings and on point 'I' they move up and down when moving throttle.
However when moving aileron directions are reversed now :-(
