So do you still need a satellite receiver with this unit?

And will the beastx firmware work with it?

        Straight from the manual:

When using the AR7200BX with larger helicopters (500-size and larger): It is necessary that you connect a DSMX remote receiver (not included) to the AR7200BX before binding.

This could just be to cover their arse. When I used to fly my 500 I never used any sat receivers. For a large leccy/nitro bird it would make more sense.

Is it the same metal case as the beastx or is it larger?

                  That's a really good price...

A sat would be clever insurance for a bigger heli. Just makes sense really.

I assume the Beast X team have licenced the Technology to Spektrum who then assemble them and pay a royalty for every unit sold, that way they can't lose.

I wonder if it will lead to a sole Beast x unit price drop or maybe they have new hardware up their sleeves for themselves.

I think new hardware. They still have futaba and JR users to make units for

Port for the extra sat is in between the sets of pins marked Rx L.

Off to maiden it shortly............here's hoping!
