Spektrum BNF Beast X anyone? The AR7200BX!

I have V Bars on everything but my God i am keen to try one of these on something

Whats put me off a bit is it needs a dsmx sat on 500 size and over,i assumed no sats reqd and full range but this is not the case according to the manual.

After all the rumours about them being held back 'til March, I just ordered a V-Bar instead about 20 minutes ago. Now I read this.

Never mind. My Trex 500 will get an AR7200BX in a few months when I convert it to FBL.

The satellite being required on a large heli must be for diversity rather than range. Think about it. If you have say 2x satellites on your V-bar on say a Trex 700, which is probably very common; those two satellites are the same model, and have the same range. Having two doesn't mean you get more range, it just means the heli itself is less likely to get in the way of the signal.

Interesting. Does seem a bit surprising that they are publishing a date that none of the other shops are and offering nearly 20% off the list price for a hot new product AND offering free delivery. I hope they're not just trying to win the attention of new customers whilst being unable to deliver the goods!
