Updating 3GX 2.1 to version 3

Just downloaded the new software for version 3 on to pc,all my models are running version 2.1 at the moment,wanted to know is it the same setup up as the 2.1 system ie 8deg on elevater and ailerion etc etc.Can u just do the upgrade and re check settings in Dir mode and of u go,also what settings are people using as i see quite a few new parameters with no reading are these all default,looking to use on 600 efl first withs seperate bec any help much appriecated

I think the only difference you need to do on setup is the gov/throttle calibration (even if you don't use a governor) as the 3GX uses this in its torque compensation.
