For those that have got the 3GX fitted inverted...
I've just discovered if you make parameters adjustments from your pc you must check the that the auto torque compensation switch is in the turned on position before you Write to heli.
All 3GX users your best to power heli & plug in usb into heli then open 3gx software & it will auto read your heli parameters but if you open software before you plug in usb to heli then chances are you will be writing some of the 3GX default parameters.

Edit, I meant to mention this is on the v2

    Hey buddy.

Good tip, in case its a bug.

What happens if you open the pc software, then open a previously saved set of parameters for your particular model where this switch has been toggled, then connect the model. Does this get over the problem?
Probably good practice to connect the model to pc, then click the read button before starting to change any settings.

I stumble across this problem when doing funnels with 450 or 500 the tail would be perfect one time & not another & seem to be when ive altered parameters so this afternoon I was trying to find the cause & found what was happening when you run the software then plug into heli to read then make parameter adjustment it will write the parameters you've adjusted but the auto torque compensation switch goes back to default, off.
I haven't got heli in front of me now to double check but with saved settings it only happened once but that could have been me however I will be checking that part of it again.

I've just converted my trex 700n to FBL with a 3GX and I've found the dead same problem. The heli seems to have loads on expo built in and in the hover minor transmitter corrections seem to do nothing then kick in late making it very jerky and slow to respond. I'm going to have a play with the settings but I know what you mean I like my heli very sensitive as it was with the flybar and it now feels numb and unresponsive on small stick inputs. Move the sticks a little further and its very responsive so not sure which parameter I should adjust. I've taken off all dampening and it didnt make any discernable difference.

Certainly not impressed with it so far so hoping the rain will clear off so I can get down the field with the laptop and try some adjustments.

To confirm - v2 software does not have model pre-selects.
