  • jurky control

Hi I have been flying Align flybarless 3G for around 2 years and have just fitted a 3GX to my 600E with a DFC head.
It seems ok but it feels as though when hovering when the heli moves and you try to correct it, it seams to do nothing then all of a sudden it corrects, so you end up with quite a jurky movement.
I do not get this with the 3G system. I have tried altering the settings but it doesnt seem to alter it. Thanks in advance CJS

    Hi,

dyou have it on one of the default parameters (normal, beginner etc) or have you put your own in?.are you using expo and have you gone through the full set up including aileron and elevator calibration in dir?

Hi I cant find the set perameters in the software like there is in the 3G software ie 250 / 450 /500/ 600/ 700 and it is all set up as per instructions, I have tried altering some of the settings but it doesnt seem to make any differance. It is though it has loads of expo but there is none in either the transmitter or in the software.

I got rid of 3gx and replaced with Beastx for exactly the same reason. Very jerky glitchy control characteristics. Got fed up of messing about trying to get it to work correctly. Never happened. I put a Beast on it and...... it just works first time with no messing

            Hey.

You're running V2 firmware yes? I've not used this myself and will have to check the PC software later, but you should be able to select the model size you intend to fly.

Is this fitted to a 600EFL? If yes, I've found the latest instructions to be missing the information to use the inner holes on the servo arms and build the elevator A arm with the reduced movement to match. Using the longer arms there is too much movement and you need to set your swashplate mix values quite low so as not to over drive the system.

As you're on V2 did you follow the instructions where it says to program in 8 degree's of cyclic pitch for aileron and elevator while in DIR? This is where the 3GX now differs from the older 3G and also the previous 3GX firmwares.

Thanks for the reply I have already done all you mention but it is just very jerky, like robotic movement, also adjusting the parameters in the software dont seem to make a lot of differance even at extreem adjustment, the heli is a 600 E, defanatly not as good as 3G fl760 CJS

That's weird though as I though v2 dropped model size parameters and wAs setup more like beast x where geometry and throw we're learnt.
