Hey Buddy.

From my limited experience using the governor of the 3GX, what you have said sounds correct.
From memory you input the model gear ratio, the software then determines the head speeds based on the ATV value of the GEAR channel, so as you increase the gear value the head speed shown in the box increases accordingly.

Yup, once you put the correct ratio in you adjust the settings on the transmitter and the 3GX software gives you a live view of the headspeed that will equate to.

Once I'd figured it out I couldn't believe how easy it made this part of the setup.
