Looks like the final nial in the 3gx coffin has been hit home with the new G Pro unit being pictured on the new 700e dominator,

Oh and I guess putting mobile connectivity on the 3gx all along would have scupperred the marketing ploy for this new unit,

Hey Guys.

This has been in the works for a little while, I am yet to see one fly, but had hoped to get one myself for testing and to put my knowledge of it ahead of the curve before it went public.

With the 3GX however, I've always tried to maintain that it's software, specifically V4, should have it's rough edges polished to make it an all round good option for the club/sport flier. Not only will this restore confidence in the old FBL controller for it's users, but also the new system, which would then be much easier to sell from my perspective as a rep/sponsored pilot with a line of happy former 3GX customers.
Having said this we can't fully discount the 3GX yet, Align may have a refined firmware in the pipeline, I've not heard anything though to pass comment.

I'm excited to try the new unit, the ability to fine tune the settings using a handheld device is a good feature. Time will tell how good it is, it's one thing seeing a Masters pilot fly one well, but us mere mortals that can find anything wrong with a FBL system.

This really does seem like a totally new unit in terms of hardware and architecture,
It seems there is now two dedicated battery ports, so some of us can get 3/4 power plugs jammed in to it, great peace of mind!!

Liking the data port and ios capability, lets hope it has some decent sensors in it and Align get the firmware right.

Align may well of got it right this time and at long last, cant wait to start picking up 3gx's for £25 quid. lol.

If you wanted another 3GX, I have one you can have for £25. It's at my mates house currently as I was going to fit it in place of his 3G, but will move onto the Gpro now instead.
