3gx Mounting tape equivalent

When fixing the align 3gx unit to the frame what tape do you use?
Is there a cheaper equivalent to the 3gx mounting tape as it is quite expensive. Will any double sided tape do?

Maplins sell very similar double sided tape to the 3gx but this comes in a roll so it works out pretty cheap.

I've had great success using the Maplin's tape comes in two widths 19mm and 25mm

Maplin tape is a good cheap alternative but I use 3M 4011 tape, its like a silicone sponge which peels off easy in the future, leaves no mess.. also works very very well as a vibe insulator while maintaining a solid hold.

Hey Buddy.

As above, the 3M type tape is meant to be very good for the 3GX and is I think what is actually shipped with the 3GX's. You do want a thin tape over a thicker, more spongy one though.

Scotch is a 3M brand name
