Good grief, we only had one nice weather weekend - and fuel already went out of stock?
Is it like the old magnum days when you could only buy fuel after two rainy weekends in a row?

It has been out of stock direct from Rapicon for a few weeks now while they waited for a new delivery to arrive (by sea I expect).

Retailers were not out of stock for all that long though.

Wouldnt surprise me if it was the same. A lot of manufacturers have the fuel outsourced. I know Ammo car fuel is Opti, and Elite power and DC Power is Model technics.

The thing is... really they are now making you pay for the postage in one respect by bumping up the price of the fuel. We have to also remember that this is a US gallon and not like Opti which is a proper UK gallon of fuel. Either way which ever way you look at it, Nitro is getting more expensive by the day.

We probably need to 'remember' that Opti ships in 5 Litre containers and Rapicon in 4 Litre containers

Best to just look at the price per litre to compare, which works out at around £4.84 for Opti vs £5.25 for Rapicon.

Add in the cost of bearings and it is an easy win for Rapicon

My model shop does Opti 20 for £80 quid a box and has done for the last 2 years....I do get badly stained bearing but I never run it dry and leave the crankcase full of fuel...thats just me being lazy....
which works out at £4 a ltr compared too £5.25 that's a big difference....

Always going to be local variations like that, if it works in your favour then great

You'll find Rapicon cheaper from some places as well, for me it is less expensive than Opti for similar reasons to yours.
