  • Magnum20 vs wildcat20

I finished my wildcat20% and ran some magnum20% this evening.
Magnum is much more smokey (as expected).
The motor picked up from tick over better and ticked over more smoothly.
Very little adjustment was necessary from the previous settings.
The magnum had more power and the 50SX-H ran cooler too (mind you it was F in Freezin!).

i rate magnum over wildcat up to 20% but the lv and curtis stuff seems alot smoother than magnum 30% powers about the same imo

I switched to Wildcat 30% CY fuel and it certainly does smoke too but the biggest change was going from an MP2 to the new Align pipe on my 600N, much smoother.

I know some have had problems with Wildcat but it's always performed well for me, certainly better than Century Heli Juice (shudder!). It does sting the eyes a fair bit if you hover up wind though!

Wildcat 20% was an issue for a few, never had it myself the LDV30% and the CY 30% have always been okay for me until a hyper wouldnt behave.

Switched to Comp Pro Synth 10% and 20% its smooth power and engine runs cooler than wildcat or maganum fuels! doesn't smoke like the others though.

I tried wild cat 20% and the motor ran hot and throttle response was slow.. then Magnum 20 and never looked back.. motors sweet and cool... damm smokey though.. still It gets my A+ approval

hmmmm the fuel debate.... gone back to cool power.. was on magnum then 1 os 90 c spec engine with destroyed rusty rear bearing later after 3 gallons and im not the only one.. maybe its just me and i may be doing something wrong but so far on cool power no worries again.. not knocking anyones choice or the manufacturers.. just voicing my opinion in this free speech country.
vibe 90, os c spec with cline regulator..... chris

                  Hey,
I run Wildcat 20%, used to run CY30% in the beginning (kind of thought it was needed) but i then went to magnum 20% which if i recall was rather good, loved the smoke, but have been on wild cat 20% for a while now, i cant say i'v had any problems what so ever with it, if anything i like the 20% more than the 30 (as well as the price tag heh), but that being said, i may have just found somewhere to get WC30%LV for the same price i pay for the 20% so i might have to give that a shot.

I will just say though, the extra smoke from the Magnum was fantastic, helped me a lot with rainbows and big open manovers like that... and looks pweedy

PS, Mikee, theres a chance that the wildcat you tried could have been a duff batch...
Over the past year or two'ish there have been a couple of gallons turning up with some of my flying mates and other places that just seemed to be buggered... I'v personally never had to change the tuning a single click between gallons, but i'v heard of some so bad that the helis wouldnt fly... but thoes gallons were honored and exchanged
                  That being said... smokey's better
