Here is were every Optifuel sponsored pilot chimes in (Which seems to be every man and his dog these days!) and says it is the best thing since sliced bread!! Swapping over to Optifuel 30 SLV gives you more power than ever before and they have never had a fuel give so much power!! Etc...etc...etc.........

Now, to be honest! I've tried Opti30SLV and didn't really see much difference!! Granted i did find a slight improvement in smooth running on my 90 machines but not the Chalk and Cheese huge difference that was hyped about!! So I went back to STD Opti30 as it didn't warrant the extra cost and the hype that all the sponsored pilots gave it!!

I'm back using Opti30SLV now as the STD 30 has to be special ordered and most places just carry the SLV, and the price has been reduced to STD30 price so no great shakes!
    Happy Flying! Thanks - Dave

For your style of flying Pete you will notice the faster throttle response and extra power through heavy load manoeuvres.
      Have fun

I have recently made the switch from Standard OptiMix30% to OptiMix30SLV and I would probably echo Robs thoughts there, I have noticed a slightly smoother throttle response and a quicker recovery when the engine comes under load.

Switching from Standard OptiMix30 to OptiMix30SLV required no drastic changes other than a slight leaning of the needles a couple of clicks, nothing major.
          Thanks!

the only way to know pete is try a gallon and see for yourself, i noticed the faster throttle recovery on the slv compared to standard, but have never tried rapicon so don't know how it would compare

I'd be surprised if you didn't notice the difference within a few tanks, Pete (after tweaking the needles a touch obviously)

Pete, even with that extra power it wouldn't have saved you from the long grass today - still you managed the inverted landing with no damage you git!
