  • Fuel for OS55

I only bought a 5 litre bottle of optifuel 20% to start me off with the 600 but it wont be long before its gone. At £25 a bottle its going to get rather expensive fuelling it. I was wondering if there is a good alternative that is cheaper or maybe there is a place that sells optifuel cheaper? I want to stock up so I dont mind bulk buying to save money.

    thanks

Pick your poison. Everyone has their favourite. At present I am using Rapicon. A few others at MK are also using it in 50s and 90s. Not in a 55 though. It is working well and cleans up easily. For 20% it is delivered to your house at £76 a case of 4 x 4L bottles. You can order it from the Rapicon web site.

They all roughly work out the same cost per litre tbh.

Rapicon seemed to be the cheapest fuel I could find once you factor in delivery costs (I was comparing prices for 30% fuel).

I'm paying £20.35 for 16% Bekra for 5 litres, like derrick says a slightly lower % as in my usage would save you £5 a go !

That will be Dave Fisher. As he is mainly a flight School so it might be advisable to ring in advance.

Dave is both an accoplished FAI Pilot and very good 3D pilot. Top bloke.
