LHS Fuel Availabilty

You won't go wrong with Bekra 16% or there abouts, and it's kind to your engine bearings.

If Bekra is good enough for Mark Christy, then it should be good enough for anyone IMHO.

I use ProPower mainly due to price and availability which has just got better from my LHS

Almost changed fuel myself which I don't really want to do so I say go for the Bekra 16 as its your local brew.

whats the flying hours for a Sunday?

I beleive it's 10 until 2 on a Sunday. let's put it this way - I have always been down at 10 and flown. I'll be there shortly after 10.

Oh and I got some Optifuel, an Optifuel CNC cap and an Align pitch gauge.

Is it just my gallon container, or do the lids not fit securely on Optifuel containers? Bloody dangerous if you ask me - all the containers I tried were no more than a push fit. The cap was too large for the container thread.

I popped into the OptiFuel stand at Wings n Wheels and had a chat with their marketing chap - also picked up a bottle of 20% for £20 I too have found the lid to be somewhat loose and slightly leaky! Ah well, at least is cheap and runs well (apparently)

Defintely loose, mine popped off on the back seat, but its £22.50 for a full 5 litres so im sure ill survive

Indeed. However, had it not have been a new case with the blank in the top, you may not have survived, especially if you're a smoker.

I am pleased to say that I had my bottle in the front of the car being managed by the wife during the looong drive home from WnW. If it had been in the boot (estate) then it might have been a very different story especially was the windows were closed with aircon on re-circ. I might actually have a chat with Optifuel next week to mention the issue to them as I think its quite a serious one IMHO.

Didn't catch you at the field today Martin, I got there (after checking the flying times) at about 11:45 and flew/chatted till 14:00 great day although the wind was swinging about 270 degrees at times during my flights... had a dumb thumb moment when turning nose in on a slow circuit and pushed the stick the wrong way, quickly recovered though and took a few mins of tail in hover to calm the nerves
