UK Fuel Price league table - May 2009

I've done a bit of market research to find all the brands of nitro fuel available to us in the UK. I've also compared prices between all the brands and shops selling them.

I'm aware that some manufactures sell per US gallon, some UK gallons and others sells it in 5litre jugs. I've taken this in consideration to calculate a price per litre.

I've only looked at online retailers and the list is by no means complete. I'm also aware that there is other manufactures available which I can add to future price comparisons.

I've included brands that might not be your first choice. But it gives you and idea of what is available.

The online retailers I've used was:
Fast Lad, Blink Helicopters, Midland, Rocket Rotors, Skyline Models, Revolution, Heliguy, Tenzeroten, ultimatehelicopters, lhc-rc.com, RealRaptors, Rapicon and Grimsby Model centre


The attached spreadsheet shows all checkout prices that includes shipping. I've also created a table sorted by price per litre.

If I'm allowed to then I can give you prices of all shops and where to find the cheapest of each brand!

and it aint no joke its real .

Suprises me a little, we sell Magnum 30% for 105 Pounds a case so that's 26.25 a gallon, Midland are listing Coolpower 30% for 31.99 a gallon, did I miss something?

The cheapest I've found Magnum 30% was Blink £104 for a case. The cheapest Coolpower 30% was by Revolution @ 25.40 a gallon.

Cheapest Optifuel 30% was by Blink at £112 for a case. (Revolution £115)
Cheapest Wild Cat Helimix 3DLV was lhc-rc £69.46 for a case.

What is lhc-rc? And also, what is 3DLV? I've been using Wildcat Helimix 20% for the 7 bottles that I've been through so far on my 600N

3DLV is a low viscosity blend of 30%

You need to show cost by the litre to get a better idea of price.

Then consider carriage. So the chart is not 'really' showing a true picture to how much you end up paying by the time its sat on your doorstep. I think its fair to say you need to do your homework on this one.
