MT Becra 20% for 105hzr

Good evening all,

looking for others opionins

i run 2 105hzr's one is about a year old the other is 6-7months old. Both with a fair amount of fuel through them.
As per title been running them on 20% becra the younger of the 2 engines has just had a new piston liner and ring
due to carbon build up lodging the ring scoring cylinder etc (also bearings), second one (older) has had new bearings once in a year 6months ago
but due to vibe and a noise taken engine out bearings are shot and top of piston is pitted, ring is silver but still moves freeley.
i dont know if its me and problems are just arising at once but quite a few have been telling me to move off of it
and go onto opti 20% as its far superior.. I did once run a gallon of opti through the engine and did notice how much
better it ran with it. When you have problems all at once you start questioning things your running..

i kind of did right? I got given it.. Its just i had becra at a finger tips reach on tap almost lol..
you know what i mean though when you have problems all at once and you just question everything...

in the past I've run becra 20% and never had a problem with it
I even prefer it to opti
but unlike yourself I have now no local supply as the hardware / model shop that supplied me closed down

I would look at the issues others have had with the 105 regarding piston/ rings and the retaining pin

I run os 50/55 and 91's but not the 105

The 91's have suffered the same issues Dave but predominantly the 105

I've not had my 91's suffer from this issue but only 2 of them are the hz motor
the others are the sz and the good old c spec

Theres numerous threads on HF Dave with teh same issue. as I said not as often as the 105
