500 hours is a long time! What fuel do they use and whats teh consumption like any ideas?

The wren44 we use in the turbine 700 and turbine synergy N9 have a service time of 40 hours, after that its back out and back to wren for new bearings and a check for FOD. I think the N9 it has about 12 hours on it now, and going great

@Delarado - they use paraffin or heating oil they will even run on white spirit if required. Mixed with 3% turbine oil (like 2 stroke). Fuel consumption depends on the size and type of the turbine. A small one used for gas generation like a turbopro in a 90 size heli will give you about 7 mins from a litre. A larger one that is used for direct thrust like in a plank will use about 5 litres in 10 mins. (But it smells and sounds GREAT!!!)
