Me, really like mine, programmability is simple compared to a dx7/dx8 as I hate the wheel

Touch screen is great & easy to use

I've upgraded my Tx battery to a lipo & get a lot more time out the battery.

I would say though that you need to try at least 3 tx's for handling & feel and see if it feels right, also play about with the menus, your lhs should be able to accommodate you

This is one you must handle before buying.

I've got one here, but I really don't use it these days as I much prefer the feel of the 8FG in my hands.

If it feels OK to you then it is a good radio, flexible programming and a decent range of receivers.

My only compliant there would be that the 7 channel rx is irritating to install as it has connections at both ends, the 6 or 9 channel are better in that regard.

ive been using mine sice they came out, easy programming ,good feel too, my only gripe is you cant alter pitch/throttle curves with engine running(nitro) as you have to move the stick to set the relevant points.
other than that its a great radio, no glitches or problems with shut outs or screen freeze.

    Gram,
It's worth investing in a lipo for it, I'm running a Outrage NRG 3600mah 2S Lipo & that fits suggly in the housing & lasts for ages

thanks dan, i'll give it a wirl.
i took the freya out a couple of weeks back and i noticed it had lost 20% batt power in about 5 mins, i'd only charged it the night before.

My lipo has lasted for months between charges & even though I've just spent 2 hours setting up a heli it's only lost 5%

Its an excellent tx, every switch is programable. The bulit in battery is a pain but thats easily fixed. I find the touch screen easy to use and the telemetry works like a dream. The other thing I like is the curves are 7 points not 5 like some transmitters.

Had one for over two years now. Find it so easy to programme and add models too. Superb back up and easy to upgrade software for the tx, the module and recievers.
Just a couple of things to note: most of the recievers I've bought recently all needed the software upgrade before they would bind. No real issue, the HP-22 interface unit is only cheap and if your upgrading your gear you might as well push for one in with the deal.
I have big fingers and find pinching one of the kids ds pens a really useful option for acurate use on the touch screen - it tucks in the back of the tx with the battery for safe keeping too.

Also, theres no problem altering pitch and throttle curves with a running nitro. theres an 'all servos hold' option and of course a throttle lock on the main screen and you can set up a separate throttle hold on any switch you want.
The cost of the next crash is exponentially proportional to the care and attention detail that went in to the heli. And multiplied according to how much this represents your pride and joy.
