Thread: Futaba 8fg timer?

I can't seem to figure out how to set the timer on my 8FG to do what my dx8 used to do which is 25% one time only, which means when i go past 25% the timer starts and when I'm flying 3d and go below 25% it won't go off. does anyone know how to set this up?

You can setup a program mix that controls the timer so that it's not stopped in idle up. But its a lot easier to just run the timer at 1% or above, you'll not use much full negative pitch

Correct me if I am wrong but I understand the motivastion with the DX8 because I think you cannot assign a timer directly to a switch?

I set my timer to start when I flick into flight mode 1. It could be when I flick out of throttle hold just as easily.

I was looking for a post about it and I think the 8FG doesn't have logic switches like the T10 so if the throttle stick position goes below what you set the timer will stop.

I set mine to 1% of the stick. It will stop when I go to zero negative though. I don't know if it's possible to set it up just like dx8.
I have second timer tied to idle up - Hold stops it, "unhold" starts. Works fine.

You can always get me to stop/start your timer too

Iv been playing around with it and have found 2 methods.

One is set it to 0% so stick is all the way down, once you move the stick up it will start and even with the stick all the way down it won't stop and start. One time only really.

Other method which I think i am going to use is set it up so it starts when in idle up but when flicked back into normal mode it stops. as I never fly in normal mode this method will work best I think
