Default Total G govenor set up DSX 9

    Hi all
Setting up TotalVibe, my Flybarless Vibe 50, and I am struggling to set up a mix for the Gov.

I want to set up a mix so that I have two headspeeds opperated by my idle up switch on my DSX9 MK1.

It's mega complicated or I have missed somthing

I have my flybarless flight modes set to my aux 4 Channel which is then set in the device mix part of my tx to the Aux 2 switch to give me 2 flight gains and an off position which I can adjust via the travel adjust on the Aux 4 ta limits.

My Aux 2 switch is set to flight mode switch and the Total G menu for the govenor is set to Aux 2 .

The flight mode or gian for the Total G is set to Aux 4 and that works ok.

Now this should work but No when I look at the monitor on the TX the flight mode switch does nothing to the Aux 2 position , but the aux 4 (rudder DR) switch does switch the aux 2 monitor.

    Help I am very confused.

I have noticed under the Device menue section for the Aux 2 section it says Inh is this relevent ???????

I have looked on heli freak but they just go on about electrics.humm

    anyone ??????

    My head hurts soooooooo much.

    Thanks x Rachel

I use Futaba gear and if it says INH then it means the function isn't active. I'd change that so that the function is active and see what happens.

I'll be interested to see how you get on with the TotalG governor, the one on my Rave seems to keep the headspeed reasonably well but when reach the top of a climbout, and the head unloads, then it seems to close the throttle too much and then hunts for a bit trying to get the headspeed back up.

Ok sort of got it worked out now Pulsar has sorted it (my hero)
He has also set up a cunning mis so that it works in Idle up 1 & 2 but not normal mode.

    One question ????????????

On the Total G screen , dose the RMP shown equal headspeed or engine speed ??????????? My guess is its headspeen but even the detailed instructions are vague

I will do a long and full post tonight so we will all know how to do it in future.

    Hugs X rachel

The RPM shows the headspeed that you'd like to have, so in my case I've got that set to 1950 in idle up.

What you also need to set is the Gear Ratio. What you set this to depends on where you've got the sensor installed, if it's on the backplate like mine, the fan or the clutch then it'll be the main gear to pinion ratio, i.e. main gear teeth / pinion, so for my Rave that's 130 / 16 = 8.125 : 1. As the Gear Ratio setting is x10 then mine is set to 81. If you've got the sensor on the main gear then the ratio is 1:1 so the Gear Ratio would be set to 10.

    Hope this makes sense.

It's harder to setup the TotalG governor than an align governor, although you do need a tacho to set the align governor, but I found it no more difficult setting up the TotalG than setting up my Multigov as the principle is the same.
