    Default 700e & CC120HV governor gains?

Guys I'm still fighting a tail wag with my 700e. I've rebuilt the entire tail and it's silky smooth now. But I still get a very slow wandering tail. It's not consistent, just feels like it's meandering around not really holding a heading.

At the minute I'm thinking it could be the governor causing it. I've just connected the castle sw and it said I have the gain set to low (15 )

Now I found these settings Castle Link Settings for Align 700E/700MX 510KV which says 12, but I don't know if the scale has changed recently because I think I've seen 12 mentioned as medium on some sites.

I've backed it off to 12 to give it a try but wondered if anyone else has any ideas? I'm running a 700M 510Kv motor with Opti Packs so it should be fine and there has to be a setting I have wrong as everything is vibe free from what I can tell.

I'm going to try taking it to work and having a go one lunchtime as I'm getting a bit fed up not flying it when I get to the field.

One thing I haven't tried is turning the governor off so thats another thing in the list. I've never used a governor so this is all new to me.

I ran my 700e of those settings recommended by CC, and it was spot on.

    ...if that's if any use?

Thanks. Will try it again then with it set to 12. I had to select custom and then enter 12 as LOW shows as 15.

I have also ran the Castle completely default in the gov mode, and it was also fine.

Have you always had this issue? Or
Have you just put this ESC on?

Always had it really, although I've not flown it much because of the issue. I had a vibration and much worse wag which turned out to be bearings but now I'm back to this.

Mine was also fine on my cc120 and 700e. Not sure if it makes any differance, but have you done the calibration properly.

Go to the castle forum on rcgroups, there are a few stickys on there that may help with calibration. I also run 12 as recommended and have no problems

    Thanks Guys,

So I've not done any calibration The user guide doesn't tell you about it so I didn't do any. So there's something it looks like I need to do...

This makes sense because I have my head speeds set to 1800, 1900, and 2050 but when I go from IU1 to IU2 I don't hear the head speed change, but I do between normal and IU1. So maybe the castle isn't seeing the difference or is going from 1800 to 2050.

Having said that. Surely that wouldn't cause the issue I'm seeing as it would just mean the headspeeds would be wrong, the throttle the ICE2 sees never changes with stick position.

    Very confused.

I think the guv would act weird if ur using set rpm mode, if it's not calibrated. Think it tells you in manual.

Will try doing the calibration and see what happens. If that still does odd things I'll disable the governor and try again.
