Thread: Solid 600/550 Dampers

Have Align released any yet for the 550/600 head?

I can see the 700 ones but not these.

I use the kbdd green ones got from seller called cjretail on eBay £6.75 delivered. They claim to be extremely hard wearing too ;-)

Yeh I think i saw then on midlands websites not sure if there still on stock tho =] Do these stop it from warring the links out quickly as its the only think putting me off getting a dfc head for the 550

He's a lot cheaper! Does the lime greens for the 700 at the same price.

I'll prob go for the blue ones.

Blue or Greens. Depends on your flying style/headspeed.

I have gone for greens. Blue would be more suited to lower headspeed.

I have greens in my 600pro,had them in when i 'had' the dfc head on,still wore links....ok in the stock head.

Did you go back to the stock head?

Yes...did'nt really improve much on it,the 550 yes,but gone back to stock on that one too.

I've got 15 flights from new with 550E DFC using the green ones and no play in the links yet

Just stuck a set in mine. Same as the 700 ones, made from Delrin and solid.

These ones are a much better fit than my 700 ones.

You don't get the brass washers that go Inbetween the headblock and the grips, which is a pain. Luckily I had some in my spares box.

Any nodding on the head Paul? What are you using them on? I have a Trex 600LE here that I have a 550/600 DFC on. Had to cut the main shaft down to suit as there is none available for the 600LE. Already had to remove the 610mm Spins as I could get them to touch the tails 600mm is very close too!

Only in low headspeed. As long as your engine is running on song, and your gov is working; it won't be a problem.

If your headspeed drops though in a move/hard stop, it will wobble all over the place.

They are only £5 though for 2 sets mind.

Do you think they are autoable?
