Default Ultimate tail? 600 Pro gets a butt lift...

Just thought I'd share a pic of my shiny new bling bling...

The new V2 tail, Rail R-96 blades (which I've already flown and improved the tail holding quite noticeably) and because fast lads were having a sale I thought it'd be rude not to pick up the KDE tail slider kit.... necessary? probably not, but it's just to beautifully machined and made to ignore! Smooth as silk and less than a gnat's whisker of slop.

Hopefully get a chance to fly it tomorrow - picked up a BL9188 for the tail too, but won't get a chance to try that out for a while, the MKS BLS990 on there does a fine job anyway for now.

    Shiny!

I love all these shiney bits, just got myself a 700 pro, so there is plenty of room for the upgrades..............

Glad some guys love the bling too lol.

Tail rotor is HN6103BT v2 (aka the v2 revision B... make sure you get the right one here, its very new and most UK shops don't seem to have it, they have the HN6103A v2 which Align designed without a required shim, version B includes the shim that version A should have had int he first place).

KDE part is AT550/600-PTC, but I already had the helioption bearing links (the ones that attach to the blade grips) and if you don't have similar then maybe look at the AT550/600-PTC-PTU which includes KDE's version of the same thing. Does include a couple of bearings that will be useless for the new V2 tail though. Link to both here KDE Direct - TREX 550/600 Series Performance Tail Control

    Tail blades are Rail R-96

Much better tail setup now compared to my V1 stock setup, but to be fair the big change comes from the align v2 part, the KDE upgrade is just unnecessary icing on the cake - I just love a good clever design and couldn't help myself, its porn for my inner engineer.

I love the look of that tail, very nice indeed. When I bought my kit it had the v1 tail on it so I bought the v2 straight away, however its not the 'B' version with the shims!
To be honest it holds ok so maybe I got lucky and it doesent bind.
Are the shims the same as the 450 pro main shaft shims? Thats what I heard but not checked it.

Shims in the b version are 8x10x0.3mm but your version A hub is slightly shorter, so introducing a 0.3mm shim may be too much and cause problems. Guys who were modifying the original V2 A tail were adding 8x10x0.1mm shims....

You do have another option though - all you need to make your V2 A tail into a V2 B tail is the new V2 B hub which includes the shims and longer hub http://www.readyheli.com/H60157B-V2-...0_p_39149.html

Still no! Weather has been awful when I've been off work....

Hopefully tomorrow now, will report back when I finally do. I have the Outrage BL9188 to fit now as well, but not sure if I should fly it first before fitting it so I can see the difference of these upgrades on their own first.

I put the KDE tail on one T700 and one T550 the difference is noticeable. There is next to no slop at all, couple it with a good servo and dialled in gyro/fbl controller and it is a winner.

Can anybody tell my, how I can see if I have the v1 tail or v2 without taking it apart??? There is no shim, aim sure.... but I like to know if I have to by both the HN6103A ( I can't find the complete v2B anywhere )and upgrade with H60157BT??? or maybe I have the v2 tail and I just have to order the new longer hub with shim H60157BT???

Can I maybe see it on the grips?? the should be a little longer on the v2 or???

Wow I think I may need to invest in this! Don't like the align tail movement the balls are to weak.

Add it to the esc upgrade list I think and maybe just maybe some outrage servos
