Did you add screws to the top shelf? On mine there is a small amount of up down movement that might upset the v-bar, hence I mounted mine on the lower shelf.

No I found the top shelf to be locked pretty solid once the front tail drive assy was bolted in,there are securing screws on the lower shelf but not the top one on mine.

As it looks I am not expecting any issues but if I do on the v bar side of it I will look at this location again.

No screws on the top shelf. It is held securely but I just felt a little bit of movement.

All in all I found it a very nice model to build.

Did some tweakin to the V bar last night and goin out for a couple more flights in a bit, noticed DFC 500 head price has been revealed at 60usd so compared to the 600 and 700 prices should be around 45 quid here

Fitted the DFC head to my 700e this morning so going to fly that too

Glad you like it so far. I still need to do a proper optimisation flight with mine but for now the few short flights I have had I am well pleased with mine. I have found the colour scheme of the canopy difficult to see so I have got this on its way

And to complete the set I have this for my 450

Nice canopies there, should be very visible inflight.

Flew three flights today with it with optimisers on,also changed esc to medium response as quick response seemed to kick the tail and revs would oscillate a bit, that was much better afterwards.

A well behaved heli all round, well thought out, decent quality for the price and flies good.

Had two flights with the 700E with the new head on and it needs the cyclics slowing down a bit, much too responsive for me,iphone vid taken but had a wabbit ears auto no damage though, crap flip, damn fence

    Thank you.

This for me has been another very good out of the box experience to match the 700 nitro I had a couple of years ago, flies straight and tracks true.

Here's the news I was waiting for b4 I ordered it

    For Immediate Release: 2/20/12
Improve your T-REX 500’s 3D Performance and speed by upgrading to the New 500DFC rotor head assembly. Simply replace the Rotor Head Block with the New 500DFC head block included in the 500DFC upgrade kit. The new blade grip pitch lever provides direct connection with your swashplate via the new style linkage rod design. This new design utilizes a short main shaft for a lower CG. Lower CG reduces flight resistance while improving 3D performance. This upgrade is suitable for T-REX 500E/500E Pro flybarless system.

    Best Regards,

Had a good weekend flying the 500efl,it's performing really well, very comfortable with the feel but I must try the new head when it comes out,I still think it will add more to the flying enjoyment of it.

Had a bit of a shaky start with the 700dfc head but have taken to it today and very happy with that too.
