Would also appreciate your thoughts on the Corona MG servo's Ben... I bought 6x cheapo servos but they arent metal geared!

Whens your kit arriving? Mine was shipped 2 days ago on a 7-10 day, I ordered it like early last week I think...

Here's my spec, I threw a few extra bits in to bring the shipping up to its limit.
I didn't like the reviews on the otter ESC once Paul had pointed it out.

thats a better version of mine isnt it? (The kit) or is it? I dont know!

I couldnt work out what was best, it would be nice if theyd point out which kit is the nicest

I went for the otter ESC. I dont really care if its crap for the price Ill let you know how I get on with it.

Im just having a think too - why do we go for what we do with regard to servos? The tail servo is faster and more powerful than the cyclic servo, why not just use that one for all servos?

the corona metal gear servos are ok i had one bad one so i thought but turned out to be my seperate bec that was playing up most of my clones use corona servos but most of them are digital
but the blue ht servos the cheapy ones are bloody good i put one of my 450`s in last week my own fault i bent everthing thing on it includeing the links from servos to swash and the servos are still spot on for the price i really carnt complain ive also got a load of the orange digital servos hk do there supposed to be fast but i havent had much chance to try them as of yet but the ony problem with them is they are bright orange and on a carbon heli they do stick out a bit

i get a lot of my corona servos from giant cod bit more moeny but dont have to wait usally here next day but they are moving at the monent so they arent re stocking

one more thing with the corona servos watch the case`s as they are a bit brittle and tend to snap if you do them to tight

Helis and lipos arrived, from Germany, this afternoon. Still waiting on the slow boat for the electrics.
1st impressions are amazement that they can do all this for such a price. Unsure if everything will be true and screw quality is yet to be proven. The canopy is true to its reputation though, I've seen more rigid carrier bags.

I've spent about 3 hours tinkering. Found 4 screws in the head not thread locked.
The body comes ready made, however most of the 1.5mm hex screws are stripped round. This is an issue as you have to unfasten some to insert the boom, I got 2 loose but the rest are already rounded off before I tried, any tips on removing them? They also have a little collar which will have to be crushed if I use pliers to squeeze and twist.
I think their 1st mistake with this heli is partially assembling it, I think it would be cheaper for them and better for us if it was just a bag'o'bits.

On ones I have had that rounded I was always able to force a torx bit in and get enough purchase to unscrew it. Alternatively you could dremel a slot out and find a straight screwdriver that fits.

That sounds a bit unusual to me though I have never found any thread lock on any screws. Or had pre rounded screws. I have only had 4 hk kits but all looked untouched.

    Cheers
    / Steve
