Nice addition to your fleet That 450 Sport is expensive with those MCPX and 450x options ;-)

Lol I just need another 90 to fly when it's really windy.

Fly pyro's left/right and to your left/right then increase circle size to get used to all views. Before you know it you will be well used to seeing it coming towards you. I am relearning that way now.

I have been flying for a few years now Tom as soon as I did my first loop then was looping and flippin all over the skies. But neglected to carry on learning the basics. So had a fear of flying circles. Did 2 hours flight training in Swindon turns out I could not even fly a square. So have gone back to basics. Still have a delay on right hand circuits as my brain catches up, but working out the kinks. I am enjoying slow control more than mild 3d it harder than most think.

ive been flying on and off for about a month using my MCPX and just waiting to get my 450's in the air so far i can hover and do basic back and forward.

I also went to flyinfish flight school and learnt on a 600 series nitro which i was doing some good moves on back forward left right etc

im getting there but feel im progressing fast as the instructor said i was very natural....

That's what we all need encouragement. Worth the money professional training. Keep plugging away at the mcpx though Tom just remember to alternate left/right otherwise you get handed.

I have to say MASSIVE THANKS to Rich23 for helping sort out my TREX 450

Cheers mate hopefully i have not pestered to much

I took the heli down the park

Had the stable kit on and managed to get hovered

Durinh hovering it felt locked in about 95% and it was very sluggish, it might have been the way the DX6i is configured will need to check with Rich, ALSO it had a 500 series training gear which maybe added to the weight and performance - i think this bird needs to be tested without any trainer! (but i was scared)

I then done something very stupid, turned off the DX6i and she started to spin upto 100%!!!!

In a panic i tried to grab the main blades, in the process cutting/grazzing my hands and then the ESC smoked and burnt out!

LESSON LEARNED!!!! - I will have to set the fail safe on the Spektrum RX/TX

So that was out of action

I then went home and started to read through the 450 X manual, which i went through and sorted everything that needed sorting.

I thought sod the trainer im going to fire her up in the back....

Now i cant comment yet if this is better then the TREX 450/SPARTAN BUT WOW it was locked in 100% i could let go of the controls and it hovered for a few moments its so stable IM LOVING BEAST X + FBL

If this is a hands down winner i will either convert the TREX 450 to FBL or sell and get another FBL heli, its just feels so good - BUT as i said this may be due to the trainer / me being nervous / and DX6i cfg. SO I WILL REPORT BACK!

Heres some videos of the 450 X in my little back area of the house, as you can see its very small and downdraft didnt effect it at all.

    Hey Tom

Your welcome I'm glad I could help out. The heli will feel sluggish due to the links needing to loosen up a bit. It should improve after 10-12 flights. When Dan test flew it he said it was very "stiff" but will loosen up.

    Nice flight vid.

Thanks mate I just need to get used to it not sure if I'm preferring FBL though as mcpx and 450x seem very easy to control but will give the 450 align some time

Check the pic of the when I clipped the blade on a flower pot lol

Your "flying space" is a bit compact to say the least lol. When I can get up to the field again I will give you a shout.

Yea the weather was on and off so just wanted to play. I have massive park at the end of my road which I normally go to when it's dry. Can wait to take it down there!!!!

I was playing with the mcpx and had a bad landing ....

Yesterday I ordered all new parts including blades, esc, boom etc fort helis.
