    Default N5 to N5c conversion

Is there a kit or will I have to buy all the parts separately?

If so might as well just buy the N5C kit outright and transplant my gear into it?

No conversion kit, just buy the N5c, it's the nuts!

No kit as far as I know.

I have updated the tail on my N5 to the N5c 6mm shaft, slider and HD blade grips.

The rest of the parts are there to save weight, so lots of excess alloy machined off etc.

I am seriously considering installing a YS 91 into my N5, and swinging 630 blades. The airframe is big enough for it.

You'll need a kit, there are so many parts that are different that it would cost mega bucks in parts alone.

Is there a noticeable difference in flight between the two?

What do bare N5 airframes go for nowadays?

There is a weight saving with the N5C due to the lighter frames and lighter CNC machined components which does make a difference to the overall weight.

I have seen bare N5 airframes advertised for sale from £225-£275, dependent on its condition etc..etc...
    Thanks!

I've been trying to sell a brand spanking N5 airframe for a mate for the last 9 months without any takers, not even any silly offers!

I saw one go fully equipped, with exactly the same kit as mine, and the align starter for £500 which is depressing considering how good a heli it is and the money spent on it!

It would seem that nitro has hit on hard times for the last 12-18 months, with electric power and flybarless being the latest and greatest things to have.

Anything nitro is taking forever to sell and even longer if it's flybarred as it seems nobody wants either at the moment.

My N5 is an original kit which i converted to flybarless and i absolutely love it, i am sure it could be lighter with N5C parts but i do not feel the need to do it. I made my N5 as light as possible with a 1900mah lipo pack and no on board regulators or anything.
    Thanks!
