    Default DX6i Question

Hi there, i was Practicing on Phoenix with my DX6i and suddenly i started doing crazy un voluntry 3d Stuff (crashing) i looked at the TX and it was switched off! i had a fiddle, i then sussed out the batts had died! so i replaced them!
The next day i went outside to hover my B400 when i noticed my swash plate wasnt doing the right things on my checks! i looked in the TX settings and it had totally reset the settings (Swash was set to ccpm 90) etc, luckily i did my pre flight checks

Is this a normal thing if batteries die? as in Watch the volt meter dont let it die?

    Cheers

    Hi mate
In short - no, not normal.
Was the DX6i switched off (at the switch) when you plugged into Phoenix? It should be and I have heard of models resetting when it's not done this way. Also, if you are on the wrong model when you plug into Phoenix and then change it.

Ahhh right, well when i connect to Phoenix i dont have the TX switched on! i have however "mucked About" and switched it on before to see what happens! strangely enough it didnt like it !! As for the day it wiped the memory! i think i may have logged into Phoenix with Model set to Blade 400 and switched to Phoenix settings! could/ would this have caused my Random memory dump? the power did go off before hand and i had to replace batteries mind! I think the problem lies with memory number 10. Iirc if you have Phoenix set on ten and remove the batteries it copies to model 1.

Mine acts a bit weird sometimes ..

Sometimes the cable comes loose from the tx, and i'd need to push it in a bit more.

This was a complete an utter mind F*** the worst part was... ok full story!
I was on Phoenix in the evening, it died on me! i replaced batteries! the next day i started changing my servos, as the chump who owned it before me had 2 turnigy Tg9 and 2 eflite servos, 1 TG9 on front and 1 on cyclic! Strange i know!
So i fitted the Servos (stock ones to make it stock again)! then i tested the servo movement and thought hmmmm Swash plate shouldnt move like that! so i did alsorts including disconnect every servo ect!!
to the point i couldnt remember what went were lol! (im a nooby at this remember)
After hours of pulling my hair out, and my heli in pieces!! I grabbed my TX and went to do something (i think sub trim or something strange) and i clicked gyro by accident lol! as you do with DX6 stupid wheel! i then got curious and clicked it! this is when i noticed it was on CCPM90 or something instead of 120.... thats when i noticed the "fill" had been deleted!!
as you can imagine, i am an AWSOME RC heli mechanic now! lol!
i just wondered if i did something wrong! but thanks for the feedback
