    Default Dx4e Tc with mcpx

Hi guys, is anyone flying the mcpx with the included Tranny included in the rtf package which I believe to be the 4 something? Apart from the obvious lack of channels what advantages would a dx6 bring in flying this particular Heli?

I'm trying to determine whether I want to swap my trex 250 for an mcpx and would like to try the mcpx 1st and as I fly futaba would like to do this as cheaply as possible. So is the supplied tranny any good or just binnable?

    Many Thanks, Ian.

I used a DX4 e on mine it works fine but it some how flys much better on my JR dsx11 , but the 4 is ok to start with.

why not ask the shop if they can do a package with the DX6 ?

Rachel has the 4 got any expo facility on it? JRdsx11 is a lovely radio and one I looked at getting as a replacement for my 9c as it has a really nice easy to follow menu, backlit screen and looks the business! but will hold off until summer to see what else comes out as I really don't need 11 channels. I suppose the dsx6's are still very desirable 2nd hand if I did go this route and didn't like/want the mcpx anymore or just went all spektrum and wanted to upgrade to a better radio.

DX6 is fine and works well , you don't need an 11 , the dsx9 is fab If your interested I will be selling my year old DSX9 soon asking £175 for it .

I think from memory the dx4e does have rates but not 100%

Rachel, I'm seriously looking at the dsx8 as a favourite at the moment as it has 11ms frame rate improved on the dx7 and is dsmx compatible. The problem with JR's is that their not dsmx compatible although they are very capable radio's they seem to be moving away from Spektrum and doing their own thing whereas Spektrum are the innovators in the market bringing out bind and fly products and incorporating receivers with the beastx system, this is why I'm leaning more toward them. I don't think the build quality on the spektrum's are up there with that of JR & Futaba but feature wise they can't be beaten....this may change. The dsx11 is the best looking radio out there though!

Just had a look at the dx4e and it has a switch with high (100%) and low (70%) rates limiting the ammount of travel on Aileron and Elevator, no expo though so it looks like I'd be better off getting a dx6 for now, Ian.
