Well jr is coming with a futaba fasst like protocol been named dsmj in Asia for a good while - it's ready for the world now but can't for the life of me remember what they chose to call it in the end.

For me that means I have to toss 4dsm2 sats and get the new stuff asap, can't wait to get REAL frequency hopping no more worries for brownouts while flying - don't see why I should worry for my old stuff which I don't really trust.

Not had any issues with DSM2 using a JR DSX9 personally, think I have had 1 range issue using a 6100E on a 450 pro, swapped to a 6200 and all is well. Seems that now DSMX (or whatever it's called) has been announced, all of a sudden folk are dismissing DSM2 as inferior and old tech that you will have to upgrade from. So long as I can buy RX's that will work with my DSX9 I will stick with it, it's a great radio and a piece of p**s to work with. I don't doubt that the new system will better but it's not the leap that DSM2 was over 35mhz.

    Just my opinion of course.

I own a DSX9 and will stick with that, I dont like the look of the DX8, however having held one it feels better than it looks, mind you, there have been some well documented issues with the software, and only a few weeks ago a friend had to return his brand new just delivered DX8 for said problem, so make sure it is fully functioning before you fly

Oh I always dismissed dsm2 I went to the dark side to get the jr 11x which I love the feel and menues to but miss fasst.

Back a few years when competing with offroad 1/8 I had spectrum and it tended to brownout when track got very rutted so car would get shortly out of view. Annoying loosing races because if that so went to futaba fasst and never more had problems. Can't say I'm 100% safe flying dsm2 now but since you pretty much always have Los I prefer to use the vbar double sat setup and the 11x, futabas sw does not feel as smooth

I found out that you cannot set up 4 servos in the swash mix menu, it does 5 mix,s but they are all 3 servo set ups, will go back to my DMX9 Tx.

Not that hard to fix though, only took a few seconds to find the 'official' answer:

    DX8 Swashplate - Page 1 - RunRyder RC Helicopter

Thank you, I knew someone would come up with answer/link. That has saved me having to hunt around, Thank you again. Can not understand why they don’t put this sort of information in the instructions.
