cheers Kol for inviting and organising. Was fun flying about with a couple of RC cars driving under neath and a hovercraft buzzing by.
Shame I didn't get to see you fly your heli - will have to turn up a bit earlier next time.

Yes congrats to Richie for the award - I think it was the MSR flight that clinched it.

Pics are with the people that are most interested in having them to post. Most of them are very grainy but ok. Will get a few of the non-embarrassing ones online at lunch.

Thank you all for coming and showing us how its done. Shamed a lot of people into not flying but I`m sure it will be different next time.
    Congrats to richie.
Bad luck to Ron `the net`
MSR stole the night. We should all have one and some racing could be set up.

See you all next time I hope

it is a real shame when people choose not to fly just because they think they "aren't good enough". Everybody starts somewhere and those of us who fly 3D really don't want people not to fly, everbody has to start with a very dodgy hover and nobody thinks any worse of somebody for just hovering.

Personally I enjoyed the evening and I did get a vid of the Vortex flying up on helituning. I'd have liked to have done some more video (of everybody) but the damn cam battery went flat. I've got a short bit of Richie flying the Beam which I may sort out later.

Was a fun night and I hope we didn't hijack your evening too much... As Ash said the last thing we would want to do is put anyone off from flying!

Thanks for the trophy although if Matt or Trev had flown I think you may have given it to one of them. Pity matt was too nervous to fly in front of others... he has good days and bad days you know...

The MSRs are great fun and in that hall you could have a great laugh with them. MSR pilon racing is what I'm thinking

Cheers Ash for trusting me with that Vortex. Considering it's a 250 sized model it does fly really nicely. The tail was actually really good. Overall I though it was a cracking little heli.

Once again thanks to you guys for letting us come and annoy you for the evening.

Unfortunately I'll not be around - so will have to pass on this date. Hope you get some support - with weather like we're having the hall is a godsend.

Yeah, I didn't let the big boys put me off attempting some dodgey hovering

I'm sure it's just a matter of putting in the hours in the sim and real life, something which I haven't been doing of late. People just have to remember these guys have been doing it for quite some time and have had plenty of flying time. I think it'd be a shame to have it all beginners or all pros. The beginners have to learn somewhere and it's people with years of experience who can point them in the right direction setup or flying wise.

Anyway it was good to meet up with all the regular faces and the new ones. Can't wait for Calshot.
